Hi, I’m Clifford Russell-Nichley. I’m a designer-turned-photographer based in Washington, working at the intersection of branding, portraiture, and personal storytelling. 

After years in the design world — creating visual campaigns, motion graphics, and brand content for nonprofits and startups — I left agency life to focus fully on photography. That background still informs everything I shoot: composition, tone, color, and the rhythm of a good story.

Whether I’m documenting someone’s personal milestone or collaborating on a branded shoot, I approach every session with clarity, intention, and a strong sense of visual design. I shoot entirely on-location and work closely with each client to build a comfortable, creative space that brings out their best.
